Lisa Thwing: “Safe Church?”
Lisa Thwing spent most of her growing up years in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She graduated from Holyoke High School, Boston University, and Andover Newton Theological School. Lisa is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. She served churches in Massachusetts, New York state, and Vermont. She retired in 1996. She discovered Women’s Voices Worldwide, Inc., this past May, and has been attending the Thursday evening Women’s Discussion Group there ever since. She finds great joy in spending time with family, especially when she gets to play with her grandnieces and nephews. Her speech shines a light on the journey of taking risks to use her voice in the wake of abuse.
Lisa will be speaking during session which runs from 5:45-7pm. We hope to see you all there!

Hope to see you there. The 7PM-8PM part is about children that have spoken out for good. It’s Keynote speaker is a dynamite 11 year old girl. I’ve heard if you can’t do any of the rest, try to get to that part. It follows the section I am in (5:45-7:00 PM)If you know some children who would like to come, bring them along.
Thanks, Lisa Thwing
