Serious Inauguration Day Blues?
Art-making.. as an act of solidarity… of resistance…and expression of grief… an acknowledgment of deep fear… or wild imagination.. space to nurture possibility… and community…
On Inauguration Day, First Churches Lyman Hall transforms into cozy quiet gathering space to ease heart and should with all kinds of art-making supplies (you do not have to be an “artist” or even “creative”), hot tea, warm cookies/a pot of soup, comfy chairs, books to soothe, meditation/prayer space, and maybe even some body workers. The space will be open from 10am-5pm. Come for an hour, or come for the whole day!
Suggested Donation: $25 to cover the cost of supplies, but pay what you can. No one will be turned away. May not be best suite for very young or active children.
