Ash Wednesday

Ashes-to-Go 12-1:00 Pastor Sarah will be out in front of First Churches from noon-1:00 offering ashes to everyone who passes by. The church will be open for quiet meditation. Ash Wednesday Taize Service at St. John's 7pm Pastor Sarah will join the Rev. Anna Woofenden in leading a special Taize service with the imposition of ashes at 7pm at St. John's. This is a quiet meditative service full of music, prayer and silence. All are welcome.

Sunday Morning Worship

Please join us this Sunday at 10 am in the sanctuary of First Churches or watch our live stream on youtube. This Sunday we welcome the Rev. Scott Barton who will be preaching a sermon titled: "Thanks for the Memories" Scripture: Deuteronomy 26:1-11 & Luke 4:1-13 We'll be observing the same safety protocols we utilized back in December: masking, social distancing, congregation only singing the final hymn, etc. Please upgrade from cloth masks to K-N95s if possible. If you do not have a higher grade mask, we will provide one at the door. Thank you for doing your part to keep us all as safe as possible. And if you are feeling too vulnerable or unable to join us in person, we plan to live stream this Sunday straight to our YouTube Page.

Maundy Thursday- MASKS REQUIRED

All are welcome to join us for a contemplative service of prayer, readings, and sacred music. Come walk with us through the final hours of Jesus’ life.

Please join us this Easter Sunday at 10 am in the sanctuary of First Churches or if you are feeling too vulnerable or unable to join us in person, we plan to live stream this Sunday straight to youtube.   Bring fresh flowers for the cross and a friend to worship as we celebrate Christ’s resurrection.   Children are invited to attend our service in the Sanctuary at 10 o'clock with their families. Small activity bags will be provided to help children settle in for a longer than usual time upstairs. Rainbow Room coverage will be available as usual for children 5 yrs and under.

Our friends from Edwards have invited us to join them for worship on Sunday April 24th at 10am. The Rev. Dr. Audrey Price, “Executive Minister of Strategic Operations for the Southern New England U.C.C.” will be preaching. There will be limited seating by reservation only. We'll get you that link as soon as we can. The service will also be accessible via zoom. Given increased numbers in the sanctuary, please come prepared to mask.
