Teacher Needed for October
Look at all those kids! Gabe has been doing a great job teaching the 3rd grade and up class, but he’ll be starting a new training for hospital chaplaincy soon. This means we will need someone to take over this class for the month of October. I poked my head in last Sunday and was excited to see that the kids were really engaged with the lesson and with each other. I think this would be a really fun class to teach and I’ll do everything I can to make it as easy as possible for you if you’re interested in helping. I’ll gather all the materials and props for the lesson. All you need to do is spend about 20 minutes looking over the plan ahead of time so you can lead the class. It’s easy, fun, and – if you ask Gabe – he’ll tell you that he really enjoyed the experience. So please let me know if you’d be willing to help. These kids deserve the best we have to offer, and I hope that together we can see that happen.
If you didn’t have a chance to register your children this past Sunday, we’ll have forms available up in the sanctuary right before church for you to fill out. Thanks for helping us gather this important information.

Child Care Options for Annual Meeting

The Rainbow room will remain open until 12:00 this Sunday to allow parents to go to the annual meeting. However, the Hungry Ghost is also sponsoring their annual Wonder Not! Bread Festival on Sunday. It begins with a parade heading right by the side entrance of our church at 11:00. Whether or not anyone in your family stays for the annual meeting, you might want to take the kids out to see the parade and then head down the street toward the bakery to enjoy all the glutinous goodies you can eat. Better yet, pair up with another family from First Churches and get to know one another better.

See you Sunday,
