Scarecrow Potluck

Don’t miss our upcoming Scarecrow Making Party. Angie and Kelli will be hosting us this coming Sunday, October 26th at 12:00, for an afternoon of friendship, fun and scarecrow making. Bring some old clothes and a dish to share. They live at 10 Golden Drive in Easthampton. Hope to see you there.

A Chance to Harvest for Others

All of our teens are invited to go on a gleaning expedition with Rachel’s Table this coming Sunday, October 26th, from 12-4. We’ll join with teens from Edward’s, Haydenville U.C.C. and St. John’s to learn more about the Biblical practice of gleaning, harvest food, and deliver it to a donation center.

We still need an adult volunteer for this event.

And speaking of our joint youth venture…
We’ve been awarded a grant of $3,900 by the Episcopal Church to foster this new ministry! Whoo Hoo!

Introducing Maggie Krone

If you’ve been down to the Rainbow room this season than you’ve already had the pleasure of meeting Maggie Krone, our new nursery care attendant.

She is truly a gift to our team here at First Churches. Maggie grew up in Atlanta, GA and graduated from the University of the South at Sewanee. She moved to the valley for graduate school where she met her husband who works at UMASS Amherst and also coaches the Ultimate team at Smith.

Maggie is an early childhood intervention specialist working for Service Net. In addition to helping us in the Rainbow Room, Maggie has also agreed to help out with the children at Common Ground. We are truly blessed to have someone of her caliber working with our children.

And finally….

Thanks for bringing your beautiful children to First Churches. They are a blessing to us all.

See you soon,
Pastor Sarah
