Music At First Churches

First Churches is very proud of our robust music program, led by our Minister of Music, Rebecca Phelps. The talented singers and musicians in our congregation bring life to every worship service. If you are interested in getting involved with the First Churches music program, please email music@firstchurches.org to learn more.
First Churches Choir

Our church choir is an essential part of every service, typically singing 2-3 pieces per week. They rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7pm, and prior to the service on Sunday mornings.
Handbell Ringers

Our handbell ringers regularly share their talents at special services throughout the year. They rehearse on Sundays after the service from 11:30 - 12:30, typically for a few weeks leading up to a service they'll be performing in.
Instrumental Music

Many of our church members have specialized skills on a variety of instruments. Piano, violin, and flute regularly supplement our worship music. Of special note is our 1936 Skinner Pipe Organ, which gets regular use by our talented staff organist, Dr. Sarah Kraaz.
Youth Choir
All children and youth group members are invited to participate in our Youth Choir. This group rehearses directly after church on Sundays for 15-30 minutes, and performs in our services several times a year. If you have questions about the children's choir, you can email director Heather Williams at heather@firstchurches.org.
